Duo S!sters to Represent Germany at Eurovision Song Contest
“Sisters” to fly the flag for Germany
Duo S!sters are to represent Germany at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in May, after winning the most votes in a televised competition.
The duo comprises two young women: 19-year-old Carlotta from Hanover and 26-year-old Laurita from Wiesbaden.
They beat six other acts with their song “Sister” in a live telecast Friday evening to get the nod to sing for Germany at the Eurovision final in Tel Aviv on May 18.
Germany won the contest in 2010. Last year, German entrant Michael Schulte came in fourth place. In 2015 and 2016 Germany placed last and in 2017 it was second last.
